Huddersfield have confirmed their final two games of pre-season

Huddersfield have confirmed their final two games of pre-season, with a trip to Dewsbury and a home match against Batley.

Hull KR had already announced their friendly against the Giants, which will take place on 30th January. Before then, they will travel to Dewsbury on 15th January and host Batley on 23rd January.

The Super League season is due to start again in February, with the fixtures being announced on Sunday.

Speaking to the club website, Head Coach Ian Watson said: “I’ve an idea how I’ll be looking to use the three games with the squad already. Without a doubt at the Hull KR game will look to field a side made up of players who will most certainly feature in Round One.

“We’ve a lot of work to get through before we get to the opener versus Dewsbury. It’s far too early to say who’ll be available for that one and who not but I do want if at all possible our players to all have had game time ahead of the seasons start in early February.

“At the moment we’ve had three decent days training as the players bodies get used again to the intensity of full time training but that will pick up quite considerably in the coming weeks as the loads increase.
