2021 Rugby League World Cup: Fixtures, when is it, how to watch

The 2021 Rugby League World Cup will see 16 teams battle to be crowned champions of the rugby league world. The tournament, which will be hosted by England, is set to run between Saturday, October 23 and Saturday, November 27.

The full fixture for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup has been revealed, with Australia pitted against Scotland, Fiji and Italy in Group B of the tournament.

Reigning champions Australia and New Zealand have yet to commit to the tournament, and NRL clubs are nervous about releasing their players, who would have to quarantine for two weeks on their return.

NRL clubs are expected to supply the bulk of players for half of the 16 nations competing in the men’s tournament and officials have been holding talks with the Australian Rugby League Players Association, including offering to lay on charter flights to reduce the risks associated with long-distance travel.

The tournament itself will kick off earlier in the day on October 23, with hosts England up against Samoa.
